MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THE MIAMI SENIORS’ CENTER, SEPTEMBER 9, 2026 The agenda for the meeting was displayed in the main lobby of the Miami Civic Center and the front door of The Miami Seniors’ Center and by posting on www.miamiok.gov pursuant to 25 O.S. § 311 (9)(a)(b). 1. On September 9, 2026 the Miami Seniors’ Center Board of Directors met for their monthly meeting. The meeting was called to order at 10:02 am by President Mary Susan Whaley with the following members answering present at roll call. There is one vacant position. Kevin Browning, Member Mark McDowell, Secretary Mary Susan Whaley, President Kathy Wright, Treasurer Caitlyn Baker, Center Director 2. There were no public comments. 3. *Action Item* Approval of August meeting minutes. After a discussion of the minutes, Director Wright made a motion to approve the minutes with a second by Director Browning. President Whaley called for a vote: Kevin Browning, Aye Mark McDowell, Aye Mary Susan Whaley, Aye Kathy Wright, Aye President Whaley declared motion passed. 4. Director Caitlyn Baker presented the attached Senior Center report. Three additional assistants will be hired to work at both the library and the Senior Center. She stated that the Smash and Dash food truck will be available during the pool tournament, the September dance has been canceled, and a membership drive may be held in January. Nominations for the vacant position were also discussed. Kathy Wright asked if future reports could include information about facility rentals. The group also considered holding a Mahjong tournament. 5. *Action Item* The 2027 meeting schedule was presented. It was approved upon a motion by Kevin Browning followed by a second by Kathy Wright President Whaley called for a vote: Miami Seniors’ Center, Inc 1 of 2 Sept 2026 Kevin Browning, Aye Mark McDowell, Aye Mary Susan Whaley, Aye Kathy Wright, Aye President Whaley declared motion passed. 6. There was no action taken for future planning. 7. There was no other new business. 8. *Action Item* With no further business, Kathy Wright moved to adjourn, and Kevin Browning seconded the motion.
